Release date 15 January 2023

MUTE COMP

Kasper Ravnhøj is a dancer and choreographer working with intense physicality combined with a strong dedication to socially and politically issues. The work reflects Ravnhøj’s eclectic worldview and his personal fascination with modern man’s excellent ability to stumble and fall. Based on contemporary culture his work revolves around recurring themes such as existence, mythology, religion, the human drive, and the darker sides of life. Some of his disturbing works addresses issues such as trafficking, the drug and weapon industry. Our first encounter with Kasper was experiencing his masterpiece Grasping the floor with the back of my neck which left a lifelong mark.

DAN SAFER /

WITNESS RELOCATION

Dan Safer originally hails from the wild suburbs of New Jersey and is founder and artistic director of Witness Relocation. He used to be a go-go dancer and once choreographed the Queen of Thailand’s Birthday Party. Witness Relocation combines dance and theatre with the energy of a rock show, exploding contemporary culture into intensely physical outrageous, poetic, and sometimes brutal performances about the fact that, when it comes down to it, you just don't have to be an asshole. Our most disturbing encounter with Dan was his version of King Ubu at Abrons Art Center New York.
